PAOV, represented by Rev. Bui Thanh Se as General Supintendent the PAOV and his interpreter Ptr Lydia Tran-Qui, has been invited for the first time to attend the 21st World Pentecostal Conference. This event is a great moment in the history of the Vietnamese Church, as it represents the entrance of the Vietnamese church on the international scene among the Pentecostal churches. Of course the Vietnamese Pentecostal church is a newcomer in the Pentecostal family, but we pray that the Holy Spirit will help us grow to become as big as our bigger brother churches around the globe. The Pentecostal World Conference is held every three years and gathers the representative of big Pentecostal groups such as the Assemblies of God, the Church of God, the Foursquare Gospel, and many other Pentecostal groups. The Pentecostal Assemblies of Vietnam (PAOV) has just been accepted as a full member of the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWC), a fellowship of Pentecostal believers from around the globe, meeting triennially in different parts of the world for the purpose of mutual edification. It thus has been a great joy to have attended such an international gathering of brother churches from all around the globe, and also a great eye opening on the what God is doing is other parts of the world. It is only in Summer 2006 that PAOV has been accepted as an official member of the PWC, thanks to the help of our partners in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), especially Rev. Earl Batstone and Mr. kevin Nguyen. This conference has been blessed by God, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Some 20,000 people attended the huge conference, coming from all the world.
